It’s not every day you get to train with a champion, but that’s exactly what happened recently at K1KA.

We were lucky to welcome Mackenzie Murrell to the gym for an evening of group pad work and free sparring. Mackenzie is the UAE Muay Thai Youth Champion, and it was a brilliant opportunity for our members to learn from his experience, energy, and style.

Sessions like this remind us how much there is to gain from stepping outside your usual routine: different styles, different backgrounds, and plenty of shared respect. Mackenzie brought a great attitude, and everyone walked away with something new.

It was also a family moment, with Mackenzie being related to our very own James Dobbin, a nice reminder that K1KA’s values go beyond the mats.
