K1KA at the ICO World Championships 2025

This weekend, a few of our K1KA regulars travelled to Wales to attend the ICO World Championships 2025, and what an incredible event it was.

With thousands of visitors, spectators, and competitors from across the globe, the championships were a true celebration of martial arts in all its forms. From kickboxing to forms, full contact to light continuous, the range and talent on display was inspiring.

More than that, it was the atmosphere that stood out. There was a deep sense of respect, pride, and shared passion among fighters and supporters from every nation. Being there in person was a reminder of what martial arts is really about: discipline, community, and connection.

A big thank you to Andy and Fiona Hennesey for their ongoing work and commitment to the sport. Their dedication makes these events possible, and we’re already looking forward to what next year brings.

For K1KA, the weekend was about more than spectating. It was another example of our members living the values of the academy: being part of something bigger, supporting each other, and always learning.
